April went by too fast, and the same is happening with this year’s spring. Here are the Friends of Rescue fosters that I met during April’s imaging sessions. If you would like to meet any of FOR’s wards, please e-mail them at info@forrescue.net.

March is almost gone. Time for showcasing the Friends of Rescue fosters I met this month. I hope that they find loving homes soon… kitten season is starting, and foster homes will be at a premium to save lives. If you are interested in any of these, please email FOR at info@forrescue.net. Thank you for your help!
Time flies! Here are images of the Friends of Rescue fosters I photographed during February. I hope to be able to post March’s fosters next week!
Time and time again, I’ve seen FOR volunteers rescue homeless animals that are usually overlooked by people searching for a new family member: the old and the very sick. Pets with special needs require dedication, love, and medical attention that can add up quickly. This entry is dedicated to a very special kitten.
I held my first February imaging sessions with Friends of Rescue (FOR) the Friday before Valentine’s day. The afternoon line-up called for four kittens and four dogs. I arrived earlier than my first reservation so I could talk to some of the volunteers and inquire about previously photographed subjects. Instead, I found four additional kittens on the premises. Three needed images for their adoption profiles; one kitten needed images for a YouCaring campaign.
Chardonnay is a beautiful kitten. She looks at you with determination, and a fierce will to live. But she needs to be seen by a specialist to help diagnose what is wrong with her. Please find a minute to watch the video that FOR created so you can see what is going on:

If you can help, please donate. If you have the time, please let your friends know of her needs. Together we will be able to help FOR help her.
Thank you.
February is well on its way, but I had not posted the last group of fosters I photographed for Friends of Rescue (FOR). If you are interested in adopting a dog or cat, young or old, please consider adopting from rescue groups like them. Any inquiries about these furry friends can be made to info@forrescue.net.
I wanted to introduce you to the wonderful Friends of Rescue (FOR) dogs and cats I met since the beginning of the year. All of them are searching for their forever humans. If you are interested in adopting any of them, or if you want to help FOR save lives, please contact FOR at info@forrescue.net. Thank you!
Happy update (2/7/2016): two of these fosters were adopted soon after their imaging session. Archie and Storm now have wonderful families of their own. Congratulations to FOR and their foster families for saving lives!
One of the joys of working with rescue groups like Friends of Rescue (FOR) is seeing how loving care can make a difference. And there is nothing better than seeing a kitten grow. Last Friday was the first FOR Friday of 2016, and I saw one of my favorite rescue kittens again. Pepperoni was rescued in August 2015, and is now a wonderful young cat. I hope she will find a loving forever home soon!
Update: Pepperoni was adopted a week after I photographed her. Happy dance!
Thanksgiving is celebrated this Thursday, November 26th, in the United States. It is a day for family gatherings. There will be several Friends of Rescue (FOR) foster animals that have a home of their own. Many others will still be with foster families, receiving the care and love that they all deserve. We want to thank all the FOR volunteers that open their hearts, and homes to give dogs and cats of all ages the opportunity to live better lives.
This is Moo, a Friends of Rescue (FOR) kitten. I saw him first in late April of this year, when his mom and siblings were rescued. I had the privilege of photographing him five times between April and July. It was wonderful to see him grow. FOR is giving him the gift of time: he is alive and growing still, waiting for a loving home.
